Arriving Late to School
School begins promptly at 8.45am, we suggest that students arrive by 8.30am to allow them time to get to homeroom, organise themselves and prepare for the school day. If your son arrives at homeroom after 8.45am he is late, dropping him off at 8.45am is not appropriate.
If your son arrives before the end of homeroom he should go to homeroom as normal where his homeroom teacher will record his late arrival.
If your son arrives after 8.55am he should go straight to the attendance office where he will be given a late pass to allow him to attend class.

Leaving Early from School
If a student needs to be collected at a designated time (e.g. he has an appointment, needs to leave early etc):
1. Write your son a note, specifying what time he needs to leave class. He will need to show this to the Student Attendance Office BEFORE 8.45am and he will receive a pass.
2. He then needs to show the pass to the relevant teacher, who will give him permission to leave.
3. If he returns, he needs to sign back in at the Student Attendance Office.
If your son is unwell at school he will need to find one of his Year Level Coordinators. They will then give permission for him to go to front reception. A staff member from front reception will then contact a Parent/Guardian and ask them to collect their son.

Absences from School
If your son is too unwell to attend school, you should notify the school using the Attendance hotline before 8.45am. If this does not happen, you will receive a text from the school alerting you to your son's unexplained absence. Please respond to this text with the reason for his absence.
If your son will be absent for an extended period of time we ask you to notify your son's homeroom teacher well in advance. The college curriculum is designed assuming your son will be in attendance every day and we provide regular school holidays to allow for overseas trips and interstate holidays. We ask that you use these times for your family breaks and avoid taking your son away from school during the school term.
Your son is expected to catch up on all work and assessment tasks he misses due to absences. Absence from school, for any reason, is not an acceptable excuse for late or incomplete work or a reason for poor performance.
