Getting to and from St. Bernard's College
St Bernard's College strongly encourages students to make their own to school using public transport or a bike. If students are driven to school, we encourage parents to arrange drop off and pick up points outside the school grounds to avoid traffic congestion or to use the car parks near the ovals accessible from Gate 8. As the Year 7 homerooms and areas are towards the bottom of the hill, these car parks are closer than the ones at the top of the hill.
1. Bike: You are welcome to ride your bike to and from school. However, remember you must wear a helmet. There are bike racks available at St. Bernard's College, you must provide a lock to secure your bike.
2. Bus: There are a number of buses that travel to and from St. Bernard's College. Any student who disembarks a bus at Hampton Road must use the underpass to cross Buckley Street to get to St. Bernard's College. Ryan's diverts some of their regular buses to drive directly past St Bernard's College and to pick up students from the College at the conclusion of the school day. These are public buses and a myki needs to be used for these services.
3. Car: Your parents may choose to drop you off and pick you up from school. In the first few weeks of school it is always a good idea to pre-arrange with your parents where they will meet you after school so you don't forget! Organise a meeting point outside the school grounds on one of the nearby roads or down near the ovals.
